Karma Production, 50th Anniversary Mustang, Chevy's SS Stock Car: Car News Headlines



2012 Fisker Karma during road test, Los Angeles, Feb 2012Fisker has temporarily halted production of its extended-range electric sedan, the Karma, as it awaits the outcome of battery supplier A123 Systems’ bankruptcy auction. The automaker is banking on a new owner to resume supply on the lithium-ion cells used in the Karma sedan.

Though a new Mustang is dues for the 2015 model year, word from a Ford representative is that the automaker will debut a special, limited-production 50th anniversary edition in 2014 ½, in honor of the original car’s 1964 ½ introduction.

Chevrolet has previewed the lines of its upcoming SS sedan (and the new Holden Commodore) with the reveal of its 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup car. The new racer, as well as the new production models, will debut during Daytona Speed Week in February of 2013.
